Jillian Noel Shennessy was born on 25th November 1968 in Canada is a Canadian actor and singer who has been acknowledged for her contribution to American television. She is renowned for her outstanding performances on the American television series Law & Order where she captivated audiences for three seasons as the prosecutor Claire Kincaid and Crossing Jordan in which she played protagonist Jordan Cavanaugh for six seasons. Hennessy has also displayed her talent as an actor through films such as RoboCop 3 Most Wanted and the indie films Chutney Popcorn and The Acting Class in which she played co-directing and writing muscles. Her acting career started in 1988 when she and her sister acted as twin characters in Dead Ringers. In 1990, she appeared as a guest on Broadway on Broadway as Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story. Then, she moved to sci-fi, and portrayed the role of Dr. Marie Lazarus (RoboCop 3) in 1993. In the fall of that year, she joined in the ensemble cast of the NBC sensational crime show Law & Order in the part of the assistant district attorney Claire Kincaid. The role was a hit with the viewers for three seasons, until the show ended in 1996. Parker was in movies and shows such as RED Fried Green Tomatoes Boys on the Side The West Wing Angels in America for which she received an award of a Golden Globe and an Emmy Award for the best supporting actress. Parker was awarded the Tony Award 2001 for Best Actress in the Broadway Show Proof.
