Aaliyah Dana Haughton and Aarti Mann

Aaliyah Daniel Haughton made her way to stardom in 1994 with her debut album Age Ain't Anything But an Numer. At the time, she was just 15 years old. the time and the album was later renamed Gold. The album was part of a group that was greatly influenced by R. Kelly and it put the singer in the spotlight. The year 1996 saw her release her second album One In A Million with Jermaine dupri and Timbaland. The album contained the number one hit track If Your Girl only knew. Aaliyah became a household name as a R&B artist following the release of her second album One In A Million. In 2000, she co-starred with the martial arts icon Jet Li as Jet Li in Romeo Must Die. Her role came about when she was spotted by the film's producer Joel Silver at an awards show. In 2002 she was part of the film vampire Queen of the Damned based on the Anne Rice book. The Matrix Sequels saw her as Zee and appeared as a character in The Matrix Reloaded (2003) as well as The Matrix Revolutions that same year. Aarti Mann is an Indian American of the first generation who was born in Connecticut. Mann is an abbreviation of her husband's first name Mankad. Aarti Magnumdar, her official name. However, she is also known as Aarti Magumdar. Her acting career began with minor TV and film roles, but her popularity was growing in the late 2000s. Other notable works she has done comprise Leverage 2012, Suits 2013, and Grey's Anatomy 2017. In addition, she was a part of several commercials including Volvo and other major automobile companies. She lives at Los Angeles along with her wife, son and daughter. She also pursues her acting career.
